Fine Arts alumnus Jeffery Cornwell draws inspiration from the natural environment and the relationship of sky to land.

Jeffery Cornwell studied at Ringling College of Art. He then apprenticed with Toro Yamamoto and honed his skills as a freelance painter.

His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries and alternative spaces. His work has been represented by galleries in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and on the west coast of the United States. His work is in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. He is an active member of the SARTQ artists collective.

Cornwell is an Adjunct Art Instructor VPA program at Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida. As an educator, he teaches in the Teen Studios at Ringling College and is the coordinator of the College’s Summer Teen Studio program.
