March 30, 2013
Rosemary District, 614 Florida Avenue, Sarasota

A collaboration of local fine artist collectively known as Art Off Palm invites the public to attend an art show on March 30, 2013, held at the MillerBrady Fine Art Gallery from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The gallery is located in the Rosemary District at 614 Florida Avenue in Sarasota. Proceeds from the $10 admission and a portion of art sales will be donated to Volunteer Community Connections, a local 501(c)3 charitable organization which connects volunteers to non-profit, civic, and service organizations.

Local artists whose work will be represented include Jake Brady, Grace Howl, Joni Younkins-Herzog, Joel Garcia-Vela, David Leifer, and Frank Creaturo, whose works include mediums in fine art, sculpture, and photography.

The Art Off Palm art show will feature live music by Meadow Parish, a young female songwriter and guitarist volunteering her haunting vocals on behalf of the cause. Admission includes catered refreshments and one drink ticket, with a cash bar available.

“We all like each other’s art work, so we got together and decided to help our community,” said artist Grace Howl, who is helping organize the event. “And we wanted to have a fun venue, not your typical black-tie event. This art show has more of a trendy New York industrial chic feel.”

Artist Jake Brady’s studio and workshop, the MillerBrady Fine Art Gallery, is a modern industrial space where Brady’s work in glass fiber reinforced concrete has evolved.

Reservations are not necessary, and the public is welcome to an evening of art, music, and the opportunity to purchase fine art for a worthy cause.
