Controversial Mural Reveals Miracle on 10th Street

[April 1, 2012] During Lent a higher power is the focus on many Christian’s minds. It might have been a case of divine intervention, or simply a crease, but one local area resident was convinced she had found the image of Christ.

“I was just admiring the painting when I was shocked to find the face of Jesus in the mural. I called my boyfriend over and we could both clearly see the face of Jesus in the mural, right on his knuckle. There is a straight-on face. We couldn’t believe it!”

The image of Jesus accounts for a substantial number of sightings of this nature and is only one of countless miraculous “apparitions” that have occurred around the world. Although, most modern visions aren’t quite as glamorous. In 2006, Jessica White, a photographer and artist based in Los Angeles, allegedly snapped a photo of her dog, Angus MacDougall, a 3-year-old terrier mix with Jesus appearing on his rear end. In 2009, a Texas couple discovered a Cheeto shaped like Jesus. More recently, a South Carolina couple found what they were convinced was the face of Jesus in a Wal-Mart receipt.

“I’m not a religious person looking for images of Mary, or Jesus, in everything, but this is obvious.”

Maybe you’re a believer in these fantastic apparitions, and you don’t understand how anyone could ignore these indisputable signs of God’s existence. On the other hand, maybe you’re a skeptic, and you can’t believe so many fools get suckered in by these obvious hoaxes. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? We will have to leave it up to you to decide.
