WINTER SEASON ART EXHIBIT @ NEW DEAL GALLERY

The winter season art exhibition is underway at “The New Deal Gallery” located in the lobby of the Federal Building, 111 S. Orange Avenue. The free exhibit is part of a visual art program sponsored by the City of Sarasota which showcases local artists for three months. The winter exhibit features six artists and is open to the public Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The artists include; Anita Wexler, Patricia Sorg, Vincent S Taschetti, Edward Drake, Marsha Meketon Schamber, and Jeffrey Weisman

An artist reception will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 Friday 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at “The New Deal Gallery”. The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is part of a public art program which began last October. Four times a year, local artists are selected to have their work displayed inside City owned buildings.
