Nat Krate is 93 years young and still painting every day, he has emerged as a highly honored and popular contemporary realist. His early art studies included attendances at the Art Students League and Pratt Institute in New York City.

After a successful career in advertising, he decided to return to his first love…Art.
Nat is best known for his nudes and exotic florals which have been represented in 20 museum exhibitions, more than 45 group exhibitions and 20 solo shows.
He has taught at the Ringling College of Art and Design, the Longboat Key Art Center and the Sarasota Art Center.
“I am a story-teller, using brush and canvas to offer my views about people and the times in which we live. My florals reflect a search for beauty by enlarging each blossom to afford the viewer with an appreciation of nature’s wonders. They have been described as “sensual” with good reasons”.
