World-Renowned Painter Michael Israel to Perform in Sarasota to Raise Funds for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research. Michael Israel Partners with The Payton Wright Foundation

Sarasota, Florida – August 9, 2011 – Acclaimed performance artist Michael Israel is scheduled to appear at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota on Saturday, October 29, 2011, to raise funds for The Payton Wright Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting pediatric brain cancer. Tickets for “The Courage of a Child… The Passion of a Performer” are on sale now for $250 each at the Patron Level or $150 each for individual tickets. The evening starts at 5:30 p.m. with an Artist’s VIP Cocktail Reception, a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m., followed by the artist’s electrifying performance. Limited sponsorship opportunities are still available. Reserve tickets now or get more information by contacting Patrick Wright at Patrick@paytonwright.org or 941-893-7007.

Combining his love of painting, music and martial arts, Michael Israel is a flamboyant and rock-star sexy performer who has raised millions of dollars for dozens of national charities. Now his philanthropic force arrives in Sarasota to ignite the audience’s senses with little more than paint, passion and high-energy music. With dazzling, gravity-defying leaps, he launches seemingly random splashes of paint on the canvas. Only when he finally spins the canvas right-side-up does it become clear that his brushstrokes are anything but random: They now reveal larger-than-life images of popular cultural icons. Audience members then have a chance to bid on the paintings that evening, including one of Payton Wright, with proceeds donated to The Payton Wright Foundation. “Pediatric brain cancer is an underfunded area of research,” said Patrick Wright. “The Payton Wright Foundation provides funds to organizations that are working toward a cure for this disease. We also assist families whose children have been diagnosed with brain cancer by paying their rent, mortgage or utility bills. We’re excited to have such a talented performer join us in raising funds for this important cause.”
