EPIC PROPORTIONS (Closing Show)

This weekend, celebrate the final night of Epic Proportions, an exhibition featuring illustration alumni, Keith Alvarado. The show includes 18 energetic new pieces created with an array of traditional media, from pen to inks to spray cans. All works are for sale.

Keith Alvarado has been nominated in The Society of Illustrators Student Annuals, winning notable awards in both 2009 and 2010. His work was exhibited at the Society of Illustrators Museum in New York City in 2009 and again in 2010. Most recently, he presented a solo show in Miami, entitled Kill Your Idol.

Alvarado upholds that, “At the core of all things great, no matter the style you prefer, proper design and composition are essential.” His stylistic influences include Paul Pope, Jon Foster, Tadahiro Uesugi, Sterling Hundley, Frank Stockton, and Rene Gruau.

The 529 Gallery is a contemporary exhibition space run by Austin Kowal of Clothesline Tees. Surrounded by 1920s style lofts in the historic Burns Court District, this pop-up gallery features a new generation of fine artists and illustrators.

Free parking is available in the public parking lot located at Orange ave and Laurel.
