The Heights Art Studio + Gallery Tour

The inaugural Heights Art Studio + Gallery Tour is a self-guided tour of 13 sites featuring private artists’ studios and art galleries. With many of the spaces located in private homes, the tour provides unique access, highlights the artists and arts organizations residing in and contributing to the vibrancy of our neighborhoods, as well as builds and expands community through engagement with the arts.

Participating artists and galleries include: Robert Aiosa; Bleu AcierDominique Labauvie and Erika Greenberg-Schneider; Coco HundayJason Lazarus; Edgar Sanchez Cumbas; Becky Flanders; Joe Griffith; Illsol – Tony Krol and Michelle Sawyer; LiveWork StudiosJanine Awai, Devon Brady, and Michael LeMieux; Jenn Ryann Miller; Kym O’Donnell; Parallelogram Gallery – William Douglas and Noelle Mason; Phoenix Glass Studio – Susan Gott; Gary Schmitt; Brian Taylor; and Kirk Ke Wang.

Tickets for the tour are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event. Advance tickets available for purchase online via the Tempus Projects website, or in person at Urban Bungalow until Friday, October 20th at 6pm. Cash or check payment accepted at Urban Bungalow 6500 N Florida Ave. 813.712.9894 (hours M-F: 7 am-6 pm; Sat: 9 am-6 pm; Sun: 9 am-5 pm) Day of the event tickets will be available at Tempus Projects on Saturday, October 21st from 11:30 am – 4 pm. On the day of the event, participants will pick up wristbands and tour brochure maps at Tempus Projects before starting on their tour of the 13 partnering sites.

An after-party, featuring drink specials and raffle prizes, will be held at c.1949 Florida Beer Garden, 6905 N. Orleans Ave, Tampa, FL 33604, following the tour.

Carousel No.1

On Thursday, January 24, join us at CL Space in Ybor City for the very first Carousel event. Ten (mostly) local photographers will be presenting slideshows of their recent work, live and in person. Come out and be a part of the Tampa Bay area’s photography community.

Tampa- Opening reception Friday, October 19, 2012 from 7-10pm :: Between Earth and Sky is the first exhibition by the Tampa Photography Collective comprised of Wendy Babcox, Jeremy Chandler, Adam Ekberg, Becky Flanders, Noelle Mason, Forrest MacDonald, Chris Otten, Kym O’Donnell and James Reiman. For the past year, the group has gathered monthly at the Tempus Projects space to share and discuss new work. The goal of the collective is to be a support system for each member’s individual art practice, while serving as a relaxed place to fellowship with peers. The group also strives to engage the local creative community through exhibitions and talks.
